We live on a loop in Santa Rosa of about 1/2 mile. Many neighbors and their kids walk, run, bike and push scooters around the loop. Being Covid-19 conscience I have created the "Friendly Loop Races" where people young and old self time and mark their times on this erasable board. I even marked out a 50 yard dash for the younger ones. Notice people race against themselves. I have hand sanitizer and a marker to record times.

Wishing you all well. One of our first events of the year is the Ostrich Festival in Chandler Arizona. We were all set up to go. It was shutdown 5 minutes before it opened on Friday.

The impact of the these event shutdowns will be felt far and wide. The promoters, carnival workers, the hundreds of concessioners, the food vendors with thousands of dollars of perishable food, and the entertainers that have traveled thousands of miles to work at this event will take a big hit financially. In our case we had a 1,800 mile round trip and a couple of days of set up. Will we get paid or compensated, we just don't know.

In the bigger picture, our nation has 328 million people here, 2.8 million people pass away each year and 4.2 million births. This corona virus will effect a few of our healths and lots of our livelihoods. We wish you well, be smart, be kind and helpful to those in need.

I just finished up doing a science show for an elementary school in Cazadero, California. The K-8 student population was a whopping 25. Cazadero is in the wooded Northern California coastal mountain range. The whole eighth grade class consisted of one girl. It was very close to a modern one room school house. The pictures are of a 50' long slide that kids take from their school down to their playground. I heard the best pants to go fast on the slide were made of a woven rip stop nylon. What a life I lead doing funny show and exploring the world.
