Over the last few days of school, we had the best time with these kiddos. The smiles, the laughter, the games, the dances, and the joy of closing out another year together made for such a special finish 😊
It’s always hard to say goodbye each year, but this year felt especially important to soak up every ounce of the magic here at VCA. The kiddos had an absolute blast—signing yearbooks, playing field games, enjoying time with friends, class parties, special spirit week days, and celebrating with bounce house fun 🎉
A huge thank you to all of our parents and volunteers who made all of this possible by showing up, helping out, and giving so generously of your time. We truly couldn’t have done it without you 💛
It truly was a full and special time. Every moment added up to something meaningful, and we’ll carry these memories with us into the next.

🎓 Senior Story: Logan Torres – Class of 2026
✨ Personal Journey
If I had to describe my high school journey in one word, it would be: “Choppy.” There’s been ups and downs. One of the biggest challenges I’ve overcome has been writing essays. I used to suck at them, and then I began sectioning them out to do a little bit each day. Now I suck less. Over the past four years, I’ve grown the most in becoming better at growth itself.
🎉 Highlights & Memories
One of my favorite senior memories was the board games we all played on Senior Trip.
Someone who made a lasting impact on me:
• Teachers and peers in general. I grew as a person.
The accomplishment I’m most proud of is that I’m alive! The traditions I’ll miss most are talking to my peers and the age-old tradition of talking while my teachers are talking.
🎯 Looking Ahead
My plans for after graduation? None! I’m gonna wing it and let the wind guide me. What I’m most excited about for the future is seeing where I’ll end up. In five years, I see myself doing alright for myself. Advice to my freshman self: Don’t try to use AI in Mrs. Viss’ class.
🎶 Fun Facts
Something most people don’t know about me is that I actually quite like talking to my peers. My ideal graduation celebration would be something in no way, shape, or form involving public speaking.
🙏 Gratitude & Faith
For helping me get to this point, I want to thank those close to me. What I’ll carry with me forever is that it was all worth it. My faith has guided my time here by pulling me back up out of a very low point in my life.

Senior Story: Sabine Viss – Class of 2026
✨ Personal Journey
If I had to describe my high school journey in one word, it would be: “FUN!” I have really enjoyed spending time with fellow students and teachers both at school and on trips.
One of the biggest challenges I have overcome was becoming confident in who I am and not basing my personality off other people, and I’ve learned that being myself is important.
Over the past four years, I’ve grown the most in gratitude. I’m so blessed with my family and friends and the ability to go to VCA.
🎉 Highlights & Memories
Some of my favorite senior memories were from Senior Trip and ditch day. I love my classmates. We have so much fun as a class, and I realized that I genuinely like spending time with them even when I’m not forced to be with them.
Someone who made a lasting impact on me is my mom, Mrs. Viss. As a teacher and as a mom, she has helped me become the person I am. She has helped me realize the importance of education in our world and what is spiritually and eternally important.
The accomplishment I’m most proud of is growing in confidence and skill in both band and choir, which led to my receiving three music scholarships. I have really enjoyed singing and playing the flute, and even giving flute lessons to beginners. It’s been such an amazing experience.
The traditions I’ll miss most are going to Musicale, High School Retreat, and the everyday fun with friends.
🎯 Looking Ahead
After graduation, I plan to attend Dordt University in Iowa. I chose Dordt because of the overall great experience when I went to visit, and it’s a great place to study Elementary Education from a Christian worldview.
What I’m most excited about for the future is going to college. I know it will be so much fun meeting new friends, living on my own, and experiencing new things. In five years, I see myself hopefully teaching Elementary in a Christian school.
Advice to my freshman self: Don’t be so concerned about what other people think of you. Try to make the best of every situation. Don’t let other people bring you down and don’t be afraid to participate in fun activities like sports and spirit
🎶 Fun Facts
Something most people don’t know about me is how much I love you all. I might tease everyone, but that’s my love language. You are all so important to me.
My ideal graduation celebration is hanging out with friends and family, being with people I love, and just having a good time.
🙏 Gratitude & Faith
I want to thank my parents for always encouraging me and always being there with good advice, whether I accepted it or not.
What I’ll carry with me forever is that everything happens for a reason. Every person I meet and every interaction is important and happens for a reason.
My faith has guided my time here because learning about God’s world really helps us to appreciate and love him more. Someone can tell you about God, and you can learn about Him at church, but knowing God also comes from learning about all the things He’s created and done in the world.
