๐โโ๏ธ๐ Run with Purpose โ Help Educate and Save Lives ๐๐โโ๏ธ
Center Point DAAC hopes you will support the Humboldt Redwoods Half Marathon & 5K on June 28th, hosted by the Empire Runners Club. This isnโt just a race โ itโs a fundraiser for Song for Charlie, a nonprofit dedicated to educating teens and families about the risks of fentanyl and fake pills.
Every step you take helps support vital prevention efforts and raises awareness about youth drug misuse โ especially in the age of social media and counterfeit pills.
๐ฒ Set against the stunning backdrop of the Avenue of the Giants, this event is a powerful way to promote health, healing, and hope.

Center Point DAAC has been awarded a $750,000 grant from DHCS through the California Hub and Spoke System program! ๐ This funding will help us launch Sonoma County's FIRST Mobile Care Clinic for substance abuse in March 2025. A fully equipped medical clinic on wheels providing substance use and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services to underserved areas.
This innovative clinic will bring care directly to those who need it most, breaking barriers like lack of transportation and reaching people at community events, fairs, and more.
We are incredibly grateful to DHCS for their continued support and to AHP for their invaluable partnership in making this possible. Together, we are taking a big step forward in the fight against the opioid epidemic. ๐
Stay tuned for updates as we prepare to roll out this transformative service!

๐โจ Heartwarming Holiday Update! โจ๐
Weโre overjoyed to share that 92 gifts have been collected for the parents in our treatment programs to brighten the holidays for their children! These gifts were specially requested by parents some time ago, and thanks to the generosity of our community, they are now being distributed to bring smiles to the faces of these families.
A huge shout-out to the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) and the amazing Lauren Oblad, who has been instrumental in making this happen. We also want to thank our incredible โSantaโs little helpers,โ Mia and Kelley, for coordinating this heartwarming effort. ๐
๐
This initiative is one of our favorite traditions. We all know how tough the holidays can be for children whose parents are navigating the challenges of recovery. To help these parents provide a magical Christmas while staying committed to sobriety is truly inspiring.
These gifts donโt just bring holiday cheerโthey remind us of the life-changing work we do every day to support these families. Together, weโre making a difference in the lives of these children and their parents.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Letโs keep spreading hope, joy, and love this holiday season! โค๏ธ
