On my way home from film fest petaluma me n my uncle went to the grand opening of the new section of Grayton. It's non smoking and massive. They're about to put in the largest event venue in Sonoma County too. Ludacris is coming in 2 weeks. Then Keanu Reeves in Dogstar. We all won tonight. Was a good time. Im off to bed. Bother me in 2 weeks when school gets out. Until then, im editing my personal film for Brian's class.

So I have been on a journey as a DJ since 1998 when I was about 10 and bought turntables to go with my dads old DJ mixer. I eventually learned 4 instruments in order to add my own original music to the turntablism. Well I kind of let my passion for doing it fade and got into doing film and design projects. Now im back to it in a big way. Rebuilding I had 2 requirements for a DJ mixer. 1. It plays Vinyl and Aux sources for live and studio work. 2. It plays Seraro scratch live tracks to play my Spotify and Serato libraries to eliminate the need to bring my vinyl to gigs. All other features were kind of just "bonuses" but I did a TON of research and tried 4 mixers out. Here are my thoughts. 1. SCRATCH: solid entry level board but maybe not solid construction. I went through 2 of them then upgraded to the Mixars Duo but they had zero windows support and their site was down while I owned it so that got sold. Then I tried the DJM S9 and loved it but the one I got used had a bad channel so I thought oh no I got another bad product, but I took a chance and bought another S9 and this time everything worked flawlessly. The effects are incredible. The performance pads work with vinyl AND serato and not JUST seraro like the DJM s5 or Scratch by Numark. The new DJM S9 I got came custom in a black and white finish and we put glow in the dark k***s on it from and now we have glow slipmats and glow k***s to accent our color vinyl collection and glow control vinyl. is in the house 🏠 by the way did you see our bangin new social media ad made? Films and Studios now my vinyl collection is back online and I can dj gigs again. I also finally settled on a mixer for Djing. The DJM S9. 2 USBs. 4 channels on 2 faders. Mic channel. Aux. Phono. Line. Serato. 8 performance pads per channel. Efx. Built in. Also for serato. Spotify library. Vinyl control with 2 pioneer PLX 1000s which Funk Master Flash said are the dopest turntables on the planet. 6 built in efx. 4 XLRs w/ shure box. Efx through Mini KP and the Alabs Cetus reverb & TimeSlip delay. One word: FUN.
