Working hard or hardly working…? 😁

I am setting this beautiful oval diamond into a custom engagement ring. The ring was designed by the couple together and cast in 14kt rose gold.

I was in the middle of finishing this stunning peridot ring, which was a custom piece for two of my favorite long-time clients, when I had to go pick someone up from school….

We were also trying to film the work so Regina could make a short video of me working on the ring; showing the casting of the gold, the sawing off of the sprue, drilling, filing, soldering the crown, the polishing, etc. I was in the middle of setting this very brilliant trillion-cut peridot into the ring when we got a visitor at the workshop

And yes, we did go to the “gem store” afterwards 😂
