Annual awards dinner at Roundtable Pizza. "Back in the day" there were three AKC obedience titles and two tracking titles.  There are dozens and dozens of titles these days. Our great club members with their beautiful and smart dogs must’ve earned over 100 this past year. Congratulations to everyone.

They don’t make them like this anymore 😢 Tom and Jerry is one of the most iconic animated series ever made, built around the endless rivalry between a clever mouse and a determined house cat. Created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the show first appeared in 1940 and quickly stood out for its near silent storytelling. Most episodes rely on physical comedy, exaggerated reactions, and precise timing rather than dialogue, which made it easy to understand and enjoy across languages and cultures. What really defines Tom and Jerry is its use of slapstick. Chases turn into elaborate chain reactions involving household objects, gravity defying stunts, and perfectly synced sound effects. Tom is usually the aggressor, constantly scheming to catch Jerry, while Jerry plays the role of the_queries smarter underdog who turns Tom’s plans against him. Even though Tom almost always loses, the dynamic feels playful rather than cruel, and occasional episodes show them teaming up when a bigger threat appears. The series had a huge influence on animation, winning multiple Academy Awards and setting a standard for visual comedy that many cartoons followed later. Despite changing studios, styles, and eras over the decades, the core appeal never really changed. It is fast, expressive, and timeless, proving that strong visual storytelling can last far beyond trends or technology.
