🌉 Freestone Flat Road Bridge Replacement Project Update
Construction continues on the Freestone Flat Road Bridge Replacement Project, with crews making progress on the new bridge while the existing bridge remains open to traffic.

This week, crews are drilling and installing Cast-In-Drilled-Hole (CIDH) piles, which are deep concrete foundations that will support the new bridge abutments—the structures at each end of the bridge that connect the roadway to the bridge itself. Work is also underway to form, reinforce, and pour the concrete abutments that will support the new bridge.

Maintaining access for the community remains a priority, and motorists can continue using the existing bridge as a detour route throughout construction.

The project will replace the existing bridge with a new, wider structure designed to meet current standards.
