It’s the International Day of Sign Languages and Deaf Awareness Week! 🤟🏻❤️

As a CODA and part of the greater deaf community, we strongly support improving the human rights of deaf persons, the status of national sign languages, access to education, and access to information technology and services.

How can you become an advocate for the deaf community? Learn some ASL and/or take classes, ideally from deaf instructors!
Need some help getting started? Ask us for tips and resources!
Are you a parent? Teach your kiddos some signs early on, and try to encourage schools to incorporate ASL into their school curriculum!
Sign languages unite us! You may make someone’s day by being able to communicate in their language. Who knows, maybe the next Disney princess will be deaf! 🧏‍♀️👑🤟🏻
