Caregiver Spotlight: Katarina Adikota Hawea ✨

From Fulaga and Cicia in Lau, Katarina's journey into caregiving wasn't something she had planned. After moving to California in December 2025, she discovered a passion for caring for others and serving those around her.

"What I love most about caregiving is being able to help people and remind them that they are not alone. Whatever struggles they face, I want them to know that I am with them every step of the way."

Although new to Caring A Life, Katarina says the agency has quickly become her family away from home.

*"The love and care I have witnessed from management and my co-workers has made me feel like I truly belong. I've found a home away from home."*

A former military member, Katarina brings discipline, compassion and a strong sense of service to her role. When she's not caring for clients, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her nephews, and making memories with loved ones.

Her advice to others:
**"Have an end goal, treat those around you exactly how you want to be treated, enter to learn, and go forth to serve."**
