All projects arise in response to a need. Someone(s), somewhere, has a need and that kicks off the project process. Clarifying the need - and the work to meet that need - is the first key step. Misdirection at this point may be a major contributor to rework, change, and missing success criteria. Consider spending more time upfront to set a solid foundation for your project.
