Hello mission maniacs, Our summer newsletter, generated funding for 15 more rainwater collection systems. Because of our generous project supporters, our team built and installed so many rainwater collection systems over the last year, that we depleted the entire inventory of food-grade barrels from every supplier in the city of Iquitos. Because there are no roads or highways that reach the jungle city of Iquitos, it is only supplied by cargo ships and river barges so, it just took longer than expected for vendors to restock. Our team has been waiting for supplies and now, finally has what they need to start the mission. Rolando is heading out on the river to the jungle communities to build the 15 systems. I imagine the families waiting for our team are pretty excited that they will have a source of clean water in their homes soon. Please say a prayer for Rolando and his team. I’ll post some pictures in a few weeks when they complete the mission. :17
