SUGAR — we hate to love it. But it’s sweet. It’s cheap. It’s addictive.😵‍💫

While that may be true, I promise cutting back on your sugar intake is possible! About 3 years ago I cut waaaaay back on added sugar and I’ve never looked back.

Giving it up just might change your life…here’s how to get started:

- Try to eat at a regular time everyday. Consistency creates stability and you won’t reach for sweet snackie foods when you’re hangry.
- Balance your meals. I’m talking heavy on the fats and protein — satiety, friends!
- STAY HYDRATED. Cannot emphasize this one enough. Don’t mistake sugar cravings for dehydration.
- Regular physical activity. Could be at the gym, at the park, a walk, or playing with your kids. Anything, y’all.

And finally, maybe most importantly.

- Avoid artificial sugar substitutes like Sweet N Low, Splenda, and Equal. Try swapping them for more natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or coconut sugar!

You can survive — and most likely with ✨thrive✨— without added sugars. Break free, friends & let me know how you’re doing in the comments!!👇🏻

Happy National Nutrition Month!!🥑🍎🫐🥬

Michael Scott said it best — delicious, good for you, the perfect way to start the day. He might not have been talking about real, whole foods (lol at that episode), but the concept still applies!

My life revolves around food and I’m okay with that. Learning how to properly fuel my body and eating for each phase of my cycle fascinates me. But I know that’s not the case for everyone.

I want you to pause and think about what nutrition means to you. What does adequate nutrition look like in your life? Are your meals balanced? Do you feel satisfied after finishing those meals? More importantly do you enjoy the meals you’re eating?

If you answered no to any of these questions, what is holding you back from making your nutrition and health a priority?

I invite you to go back to the basics. Make it a point to plan meals at home. Try a new recipe or spend a little more time in the kitchen. Take pride in knowing where your food is sourced. Support local farmers and suppliers.

The foods you eat and how you nourish your body is so important to your health and well-being. I promise, it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. If you can change the narrative you tell yourself, you can change your habits. It’s never to late to take action to improve your health and well-being! When you feel good and show up for yourself, you’re more likely to radiate that energy and show up more powerfully in other areas of your life.

If you’re ready to invest in yourself and your health, I have a few spots open in March for 1:1 coaching! Click the link in my bio to schedule a discovery call or DM me — I’d love to help you eat better, feel better, and KNOW BETTER!🙌🏻

Fun fact about me: when I discover a meal I thoroughly enjoy, I tend to have it on repeat until I’m sick of it.😅 lucky for me, I’m not sick of this one yet!

I love this for lunch in a pinch because I usually have everything on hand, it’s super easy, and it’s got plenty of protein and healthy fats to keep me full. Win, win, win!🙌🏻

Boil two eggs — I drop them in as the water is warming, bring to a rolling boil & set a timer for 6 minutes. When the timer goes off, transfer the eggs to an ice bath for 3-5 minutes — 🤌🏻 *chef’s kiss* eggs, every time. While your eggs are boiling, smash 1/2 ripe avocado in a bowl with a spicy, grainy mustard of your choice. I usually add 3-4 chopped dill pickles, cucumbers, or red onion for crunch! When your eggs are cooled, peel, rough chop and toss into your avo mixture. Season to taste with salt and black pepper and serve atop freshly toasted sourdough bread!

I served mine on .co sourdough with fresh arugula & topped it with pickled radish, farmer’s market cabbage sprouts, fresh dill & red pepper flakes!

What is your current lunch hyper fixation?? I want to know👇🏻👇🏻
