I went by the Tiny House Project in Savannah (that's me on the Lull) for an early sign up and talked to Tom Taylor (Project Mgr.) and Matt Mosier (Const. Mgr.) about the work day on Saturday. There are going to be about 75 skilled tradesmen and who knows how may real estate professionals there on Saturday. This is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for our military veterans and learn something about construction at the same time. If you come, you will be actively involved in framing, siding, window installation and if all goes well maybe even roofing. There will also be lots of lumber toting general housekeeping. This is going to be a fast paced day with an almost assembly line style of construction.

The planned work day is from 8am - 12pm, but you can stay longer if you want! It's best to get there early to get signed up and ready to go. The address is 75 Dundee St., Savannah, GA, 31401. They request that you wear appropriate clothing (boots preferred) and bring your own tools. Children under 18 are not allowed to volunteer on this one and you will have to sign a waiver.
