Give her the sea,
and she’ll give you the sky.
Show her what’s hidden deep,
and she’ll command the clouds to weep.
Effortless, the lightning will strike
if only you’ll trade your secrets for light.
And she’ll give you darkness, too.
If monsters and sirens are thrown in, even a few.
She’s long grown tired
of all that she’s knew.

1. The Voice in the Walls

Your character begins to hear a soft voice inside the walls of their home. At first, it only speaks a few words at night. Then it starts asking questions your character doesn’t want to answer.

Write what the voice is trying to learn and what happens when your character finally answers it honestly.

2. The Book That Changes Each Time

Your character buys an old book from a small shop. When they read it the first time, it tells a simple story. But the next day, the story has changed. Each time they open it, the book reveals something new, something closer to their own life.

Write what the book is trying to show your character and why it won’t stay the same.

3. The Promise Made in a Dream

Your character wakes up with a strong feeling that they made a promise in a dream. They don’t remember the details, only that it mattered. As the day goes on, strange things begin to happen, as if someone is waiting for them to keep that promise.

Write what your character slowly remembers and what will happen if they don’t follow through.
