Sometimes when I’m working on building out “full-band” arrangements of new songs, the best thing to do is to step away for a bit and just play through the thing on an acoustic guitar… really helps me to figure out if/how a song works, where the energy naturally builds or ebbs. Most importantly, it lets me know if I’m losing the essence or message of the song in all the noise.

I wrote this sitting at the bar the night Russia invaded Ukraine…

I don’t have a band anymore (no drama. People come and people go. It’s all good), but here’s a little something to listen to while you read my announcement that I’ve got two solo projects in the works at the moment. One is an acoustic EP with stripped back arrangements of some songs you’ll have heard at band shows and some you won’t; the other is a collaborative effort to finish off some demos that have been sitting unfinished for several years. Thanks to everyone who has supported our efforts as a band, and don’t worry: there’s a lot more coming soon!
