As we continue in Galatians on Sunday mornings, we are reminded of the fact that we are adopted into the family of God through our salvation and faith in Jesus Christ. “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭5‬, ‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In our sermon last week, Pastor Tey discussed how when we compromise the gospel of Jesus Christ, due to pressure from other or the world, we become hypocrites. Let’s stand true to the true gospel! How can we make a better commitment to the gospel this week?

“yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.” - Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬. Do you ever struggle with the idea that we are “justified by faith?” How can we accept this gift of God better this week?

How can we demonstrate our faith through obedience this week? One way is by giving to the Lord what matters to you the most. Who or what is your Samuel that you may need to release like Hannah? Not because God wants to take it, but because He wants to use it, He wants you to trust Him with it. He wants you to help expand His Kingdom!

On Sunday, Pastor Tey began a series on how God works extraordinarily in our ordinary lives. We went through the book and story of Esther. Our reflection this week is: How have you seen God works extraordinarily in the world and in your own life? And how can we remember these times when hard times arise?
