📢 **School Closed in Observance of Juneteenth**

Destine Preparatory Charter School will be closed on **June 19** in observance of **Juneteenth**.

Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It is a day to reflect on our nation's history, celebrate freedom, and recognize the ongoing pursuit of opportunity, equality, and justice for all.

We encourage our scholars and families to take time to learn about the significance of this important day and honor its legacy.

School will resume normal operations on the following school day.

It is hard to believe we are already thinking about the 2026-2027 school year, but the grind truly does not stop for our school. Over the summer we will be cleaning, taking inventory, and re-decorating for the next year!
