A friendly boutique hair salon with edge, located in the heart of downtown Scranton

To our customers and community:

It is with a very heavy heart that I must announce Salon a Go Go will not be re-opening. This has been a very difficult decision, but given the hardships endured during the COVID-19 outbreak and its associated burdens, we simply are not able to sustain the business. Normally, I would reach out individually to each client that had missed appointments, been on our waiting list, or purchased gift cards. But in the interest of expediency, I felt a mass announcement regarding the immediate closing is the most appropriate means of contact for now. As of today, all types of appointments, bookings, and waiting lists are officially cancelled.

For our clients with outstanding gift cards: It is my top priority to make good on these balances, especially those that had purchased gift cards during the COVID-19 closure. I will be reaching out to you first to offer refund options. Please allow for another 1-4 weeks for me to begin this process with you. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding!

The owners of the Scranton Life building, my landlord, have been beyond reasonable, and have been very helpful since I informed them I would not be renewing my lease which has expired. They are accommodating my transition and working with me on finding a possible new salon owner as tenant. It could be a wonderful turnkey opportunity for the right entrepreneur. Inquires can be made to Scranton Life Realty Company at 570-961-8900.

It has been an incredibly special, and gratifying experience being a part of the small business community in downtown Scranton. I want to thank everyone for your loyalty, support, and compassion. Not only during this life changing pandemic, but throughout our entire journey together. The love and support shown to myself and my staff by our clients and our community have been overwhelmingly generous since day one! Salon a Go Go has felt like home to many, the clients and staff alike have felt like family. I love and care for everyone who has been involved. I especially cherish the intimate moments and unique interactions we could only share in the salon setting…the personal conversations, life changing moments, rites of passage like weddings/first haircuts/graduations. I have felt always felt extremely honored to be a part of so many of these rare human moments. I am beyond grateful for these
experiences.

I know that many of you have been patiently waiting for our re-opening! As of now, myself and the staff will be moving on to other salon locations. We will be reaching out to our long-term clients in our own ways to let you know where we land. Personally, hair artistry and creativity are in my blood! I will continue to grow my skills and passion in this profession, and I look forward to the positive changes that are in store for all of us! My time is limited while I’m dealing with all things involving the business closure, but I will always make time to respond to you. And as the weeks progress I will have more availability to accommodate hair appointments in a new setting. If you’re interested in reaching out to me, or any of the former stylists, you can contact us in any the following ways:

This unprecedented pandemic has been such scary and uncertain time for the entire world. But as it has progressed, I have found many silver linings such as reconnecting with family, friends, and enjoying the simpler things in life. I hope we can all take this opportunity to grow for the better. Life passes by too quickly, so do what makes you happy! Make changes to the things that have made you unhappy. Pursue a dream that you always wrote off as unattainable. Be bold. Be honest. And be kind!

With a heavy heart, but one filled with gratitude, I thank you sincerely.
