HC ARCHITECTS DISCUSS DENNIS FARMS RESTORATION PROJECT WITH GOVERNOR SHAPIRO

hc architects’ Principal Ken Ruby reviewed restoration plans for the Henry W. & Angeline Perkins Dennis House Rehabilitation with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro during the Governor’s recent visit to the Dennis Farms National Historic Site in Susquehanna County.

The farm, first settled in 1793 by Prince Perkins, a free African American, is the oldest continuously owned African American farm in the country.

The historic farmhouse, portions of which date over 200 years old will be restored into an interpretive public museum that will inform visitors of the Perkins Dennis family farm history intertwined with over two centuries of national historical events.

Visit the Dennis Farms Charitable Land Trust website at thedennisfarm.org to learn more about this remarkable historic site and family.

Celebrating Women in Construction Week 👷‍♀️🏗️

During Women in Construction Week, we recognize the incredible women at hc architects who bring vision, precision, and passion to every project.

From design and detailing to project coordination and client collaboration, their leadership, creativity, and technical expertise strengthen every project we touch. Their influence extends far beyond drawings and job sites — they mentor, lead, collaborate, and help shape stronger communities.

Women continue to make a powerful impact across architecture and construction — and we’re grateful to be part of that progress.
