When you hear someone say that they don’t care it comes off as insensitive. But, I want YOU to realize that when YOU say that YOU don’t care, it’s practical. It’s not that YOU don’t care about their feelings or that YOU are apathetic, it means YOU are not going to care to let their opinion make a squat of difference in your Universe. Who cares about what others think of YOU? I don’t. YOU are your own Universe. Period. Not someone else’s Universe. YOU can’t control how people act or react. YOU can only control YOU.

I don’t care to let anyone disturb me. I don’t care to let anyone influence me. I don’t care to let anyone affect my inspiration. I don’t care to listen to negative talk, criticism or gossip. Go away and suck up air somewhere else. I am feeling too good to let anyone put me in a bad mood. I’m singing my song. I’m pepping my step. I’m appreciating all things around me. I’m inspired.

And, then came the socks. Saying “I don’t care” about 100 times a week, and it is one of my favorite mantras, a friend presented me with a pair of socks with my mantra written on the bottom of the feet. It was like getting the carefree award of the century. I seem to care less and less what anyone thinks the more I wear my socks.
