Today we gathered at Carmel Mission for St. Junípero Serra’s Day of Practicing Peace 🕊️ — coffee, conversation, and reflection with Bishop Dan Turley, Sister Anne Martin Phellan, OSF, and our own Angela Di Novella.
The question on the table: How can we be better instruments of God’s peace in our world?

One answer we heard today: peace isn’t passive. It’s a courageous, daily choice — to assume good intentions, to listen with compassion, to see others as friends, not enemies.

Mass for St. Junípero’s Feast Day followed at the Basilica. Grateful to be part of this path. 🙏
