Samurai Foodie by the Necanicum River,
cradling a warm cup of coffee from Seaside Coffee House☕️

Water flowing, thoughts drifting—
last week fades, a new path begins.

In stillness, I gather my plans
for the next journey of flavors and discovery.

Take a moment this week
to face the goals you’ve set aside as “unreachable.”

Even the longest path begins with quiet intention.

I’ve learned that when the week starts with purpose,
the energy of the universe moves with you, not against you.

Some days the best thing you can do is slow down, enjoy a good meal, and let the rest of the world wait.

That was today.

I stopped by Antojitos La Reyna in Gearhart for a bowl of their pozole, and it tasted like comfort in its purest form.
Fresh lettuce, onion, lime, oregano, chile oil, and crunchy tortilla chips let you build every bite exactly the way you like it.

Of course, I couldn't leave without trying the tacos al v***r. Soft, flavorful, and made with care.
Whether you choose chorizo con papa, frijoles con queso, or chicharrón, each order comes with four tacos, fresh tomato salsa, and their delicious pickled vegetables.

Then came the strawberry gelatina... smooth, creamy, and the perfect finish to the meal.

Truth be told... everything was so good that before I walked out the door, I ordered more to take home. That's usually how I know a place has earned my respect.

If you're wandering the Oregon Coast and find yourself hungry, this little spot is worth the stop.

📍3350 Hwy 101 N., Suite F
Gearhart, OR 97138

A full stomach brings quiet to the mind. Good food has a way of doing that.

When tacos and pizza join forces... legends are born.

Today's feast from Taqueria Los Compas is a masterpiece: a pizza loaded with ½ Birria (slow-cooked shredded beef) and ½ Al Pastor (marinated pork). Every slice delivers rich, smoky flavor on one side and savory, perfectly seasoned goodness on the other. Why choose one favorite when you can have both?

Whether you're a local or just visiting the Oregon Coast, this is one of those meals that deserves a spot on your foodie bucket list.

📍 Taqueria Los Compas
200 Broadway Street
Seaside, OR 97138

Have you tried their pizza yet? Which side are you grabbing first—Birria or Al Pastor? Let me know in the comments!
