Why stretching is necessary for bodybuilders
Because it helps to build muscle in a harmonious way!

The fact is that during physical exertion, the muscles become shorter and after training they remain compressed for some time. When they are resting, the length will be restored. But stretching speeds up this process at times. Therefore, the one who ignores the post-workout sipping slows down the recovery and growth of results.
In addition, exercising with a lot of weight, as it were, enslaves the muscles, makes them "wooden", and the body is less flexible. Stretching prevents this stiffness. The muscles of a heavy lifting athlete become accustomed to shortening. But as far as the muscle is able to stretch, so much it can contract. It turns out a vicious circle: worse lengthening - worse contraction. This leads to stagnation of strength results.
