“The bill will create many opportunities to create and enhance services for adult survivors of s*x trafficking,” said Jeri Moomaw, executive director of Innovations Trafficking Collaborative, and co-founder of WASE Forward. “This is important because many survivors don’t know that services exist, and there are people available to support them through their healing process.”

Inslee signs bill to create support programs for survivors of adult s*x trafficking Gov. Jay Inslee signed legislation into law this week focused on providing funding for more healing and transition services for survivors of s*x traffickicking.

WASE Forward wants to sincerely thank Sen. Claire Wilson for her support and guidance on SSB 5114 throughout the legislative session in Washington. Sen. Wilson played a key role as our sponsor of the bill, which has recently been signed by Governor Inslee! Sen. Wilson's belief in the importance of culturally responsive and healing services for adults with lived experience of s*x trafficking has now made a profound impact on our community, and we are incredibly fortunate to have her as a champion for this cause.
