Love yourself first.
If the director of a movie disliked his movie while he was creating it and after he completed it, do you think it’s going to be a sellout success in the movies?
Start taking action toward doing the little things that make you proud to be you. That make you love being you every time you look in the mirror.
So many of us root our “self liking” in the feedback we get from others and sometimes quite literally from the “liking” we get on social media.
Why do you think you can like your own posts on instagram?
Like you before others like you.

BEING UNDERSTOOD IS OVERRATED
It is extremely liberating to let go of the need to be understood. I truly don’t believe everyone will be understood all of the time and that’s okay.
We get so caught up trying to prove ourselves and our intention to others that we end up taking time and energy away from being present or in the moment.
This goes for social situations (you said something at the bar and now you’re worried it came out wrong and you feel the need to over explain yourself or make up for it by being extra nice or exaggerating a positive quality about yourself)
This goes for texting. Not every message needs exclamation marks for the person receiving it to know you’re a nice person. I am so guilty of this!!!!! 😋☺️
This also goes for making a post on instagram. Yes, it’s great to be understood and to get a point across in a repost, a posted quote, or a caption, but not everyone will take it the same and that’s okay!
The universe will bring people in and out of your life when the time is right beyond your control. Do your best to be your authentic self in everything you say and do. Leave the rest up to other’s.

I had a realization on my run this morning: I’ve gotten much faster and much more comfortable with the goal pace I set for myself (7 minutes a mile on a 5-7 mile run).
For the last two weeks hitting this time has become easy while before it seemed so unattainable. Before I couldn’t even run 3 miles without having to walk some.
The journey of working up this 7 minute goal from my original pace of 8 minutes made the morning run’s extremely challenging and exhausting but as I tracked my run stats daily I was excited at my weekly improvement.
I’ve been holding this 7 minute pace goal for two weeks now which is great and it’s become easy every morning, but I realized I just took a parking space on this journey to becoming a marathon runner and a triathlete…
I hit my goal and now am sitting in the parking space of a 7 minute mile pace runner. The fun of any challenge is continuous improvement.
Imagine a game app on your phone or a video game. Imagine how fun it would be if every level was extremely easy to accomplish. No one would play that game because there’s no achievement; no challenge to the advancement.
Are there parking spaces in your life that you’ve taken in your relationships? Your net worth? Your fitness? Your career? Your personal development as a whole?
