Amazing. Positive action. Counter protests needed. Everywhere.
In Germany, activists rise up to counter vaccine skeptics BERLIN (AP) — Stefanie Hoener was at home one night in Berlin when she heard police sirens wailing through her Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood and anti-vaccine protesters shouting angry slurs as they marched down to the Gethsemane Church — a symbol of the peaceful 1989 revolution in East Germany th...

Ask - Tiny cabins food needs!
The food bank isn’t providing food anymore, and the residents would like some easy, food-for-one pantry items.
Softer foods and vitamin-rich drinks (V8) are helpful, as many of the residents suffer from missing or broken teeth.
You can drop food off directly at the village.

Transforming inspired individuals to make change in their communities.
Lemonade Stand is a nonprofit startup that provides resources and education to community members who lead a mission project that immediately benefits their community.
We started our public presence at a popup lemonade stand on July 4, 2020, and have been growing and perfecting this last month.
Our Magnolia Masks project is going strong. We are providing these on behalf of local mask makers who wanted to make beautiful, fun masks readily available to anyone in Magnolia who wants one. This is also meaningful to me, as I have worked with children and families for many years, and I love the kids' faces when they get a new cute mask!
Last week, we presented our first Magnolia Micromarket. The project began in June, after the farmers market was canceled, with our co-founder Tolga (owner of Nutty Squirrel), contacting some farmers to invite them to sell at his shop. We made connections through Magnolia neighbors and the producers at the Queen Anne Farmers Market, and opened our first Farm Stand last week, hosted by Pink Salt Restaurant. This week we are adding a baker at Nutty Squirrel, and we're looking for more microbusinesses to host or be hosted.
We've hosted Sean Hoyt Art at our Nutty Squirrel popup, and he'll be moving his Art Stand to the Pink Salt area to join Fardell Farm's and Sai Flowers, our first Farm Stands. Our new Farm Stand is Lá Liath Bakery, hosted inside Nutty Squirrel Gelato on Sunday.
Please let us know if you have more microbusinesses to include!
We also need some volunteers for easy, fun stuff - online or in-store shopping, discovering and inviting microbusinesses to our markets, creative logistics planning, and working with the city to get permits to expand to the sidewalks/curbs/streets in future micromarkets ("fun" for someone, right?).
And please send us a message if you have a project idea you'd like to work on with us.
