Hot off the Steamroller Press!!! Island Artist Michael Darr has created new pieces depicting the art he created at the steamroller event on Vashon this past summer. "Nature Loving On Vashon" original linocut is 3' x 3' and Michael got to personally drive over his own print with a steamroller - How much fun would that be!! To enrich the text, she brings much community involvement in the definition and conservation of the islands’ public lands. She was Audubon president, both staff and board member for Vashon Land Trust, compiled acquisition baselines for the land trust’s and Vashon Parks’ wild lands and beaches. Lisa began her love of mosaics sometime in 1999, while still at home with three young boys, (homeschooling two of them) taking care of a house, a husband, and 5 acres on Vashon Island and "WAS BITTEN HARD BY THE MOSAIC BUG!" From then on it became her goal to develop her mosaic talent in hopes that one day it would become a full time job.
