I can’t believe it but this Thursday, December 14th is my last day working in our beautiful pop-up shop “UPSTAIRS” . The shop is still open until Dec. 23rd, but if you wanted to pop in to see it while I’m there, this is your friendly reminder that Thursday is my last day in the shop! Hours are 10am-4pm.

If you haven’t had a chance to pop down yet it is definitely worth it. The art from is even more dynamic in person and if you can’t commit to a painting at the moment, she has the most adorable minis and ornaments. The oils from are honestly addictive. When I’m working in the shop, I just stop and smell them about 100 times a day. And of course Jamie’s hats! These hats are classics and the quality is amazing. Tons of incredibly personal gift ideas ✨

I have loved being back Downtown for a few weeks, huge thank you to for making it all possible and all the work that they are doing to revitalize Downtown, Seattle.

Glaze tests are so much fun. The combinations are truly endless, it’s where chemistry, art, and a bit of note keeping truly come together.
Some of the best ceramic advice I ever got was from when I took his dinnerware workshop. We were really encouraged to think of glaze first before diving into making a piece. Starting with test tiles can transform how you approach your work. I can’t say I always exercise that much restraint but it’s a practice that I am incorporating more and more and I’m seeing a difference in my work.

These tests should be ready next week, there is a mix of slip, underglaze, commercial glaze, and glazes available at my studio. I incorporated a variety of textures on the tiles so results should be interesting and hopefully beautiful.
