TL; DR -- We're moving!

Dear friends,

We have an exciting announcement to share--King Donuts will be moving into the former Beach Bakery space on Rainier and Kenyon later this summer!

**WHEN?**
We haven't figured out a date for the move yet, but those of you who've been supporting our family business for some time may recall that we typically take a summer break in August. So, uh, guess how we'll be spending our "time off" this year. 🙂

**BAKED GOODS?**
Probably not at first. There are lots of details to figure out still, like staffing up and learning recipes, etc. We feel so fortunate to have the support of the fabulous Amy O'Connell to determine if we can include some Beach Bakery customer favorites in our product line-up at some point down the line. In the near term, we look forward to bringing you the same delicious donuts you've come to love.

**REQUEST**
We know you know probably have lots of questions. We do, too. Feel free to strike up a conversation with the King Donuts crew and share your excitement, but please know there are a lots of moving parts to coordinate--it would be appreciated if you don't bombard Mama Chhuor and our staff with tons of questions when they're just trying to give you deliciousness in a box 😉.

This is what the bakery looked like when I got the space. That was almost seven years ago. As I stand in my kitchen now, I am hurting. Physically and emotionally, because this was everything I ever wanted and now I have to let it go. Our last day of service will be a week from today, Saturday, May 28. Please understand this is the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. The last couple years have challenged me in ways that I was not prepared for, but I have weathered them because of your amazing support. Which makes it all the more hard to have to say goodbye. But 80 hours a week have caught up with my old(ish) body and I have to move on to things that allow me to take better care of myself. I will find ways in the future to bring you butter, whether it is pop ups, or a cook book or just sitting outside your houses with pounds of it. Just kidding on that last one. 😌I love you all so much. You have become my family and I will miss being the butter in your day. Please come through this week and let’s hug, because we actually can now! And bring your dogs. 💚💙
