After today’s heartbreaking events — the deadly shooting of Charlie Kirk and the stabbing of a Ukrainian refugee on the subway — I can’t stop thinking about how cold the world has become. People stood by, no compassion, no help, no humanity. Two innocent lives gone… and for what? Politics, division, and a broken system.

And it’s not just today. We see it in the classrooms where shootings have stolen too many young lives. We see it in the streets and subways where safety should never be a question.

Our children deserve better.
Safe to learn.
Safe to laugh.
Safe to grow up without fear.

This has gone on for far too long. How many more empty desks? How many more parents burying their babies? How many more times do we have to say “enough”?

No parent should ever drop off their child and wonder if that hug might be the last.
No child should carry the weight of fear heavier than their backpack.

Enough is enough.
Our kids deserve a safe world.
