So in January, I gave myself a gift — a shiny little travel trailer. 🎁
It was what he and I had always planned to do after his retirement.
Well, he retired… and then he F🤬’d everything up in the worst way a man can.
But you know what?
I realized I didn’t need a man to live our dream. I could live my dream.
So I learned. I practiced. I drove my “chick rig” around town (and yes, I still suck at backing up 🤪).
Last Thursday, I finally took my first solo trip.
No backup, no partner — just me, my nerves, and my Micro Minne.
I drove through high winds, mountain roads, and that voice in my head saying “what were you thinking?”
But when I finally backed into my site (with a little help from a sweet couple walking their dog 🥰),
and I sat down with a glass of champagne, staring at the trees…
I knew I had made the right choice. 🍾
Freedom. Peace. Pride.
I earned that moment.
And the best part?
Every single person I met was kind, curious, and cheering me on.
Turns out, this RV community is full of people who get it. ❤️
