Before the snow last week I put some seed in the bird feeder because, well, because I felt bad for the bird who would be stuck out in the storm. Today, as I was letting my dog outside, I was greeted by the sight of a magnificent hawk perched on the fence, vigilantly watching over its newly discovered bounty of food.
