✨Here are some self-care activities to try this weekend!✨
Find a creative outlet:🎨
-Doodle or experiment with watercolors
-Write a poem
-Play an instrument or sing along to the radio
Get outside:🌳
-Go for a hike
-Take a bike ride on a nearby trail
-Go for a run with a playlist that pumps you up
Try a breathing exercise:🌬️
-Triangle breathing (equal time on the inhale, hold, and exhale)
-4-7-8 breathing, research shows breathing out slower than the in breath is the most calming. Try a few rounds of in for 4, hold for 7, and out for 8
-Skip the breath holding and just take a few deep "belly breaths". Imagine your belly expanding like a balloon as you breath always to the bottom of your lungs
Connect with your inner child😜
-Watch a funny video that make you laugh out loud
-Play a game and let yourself connect with the energy you had while playing on the playground as a kid
-Reparent your inner-child by giving yourself words of self-compassion
