ESHB 1795 signed! Not "The Bill" to end the harmful practice of isolating dysregulated children. But progress.
No mechanical restraint (handcuffs, zip ties)
No chemical restraint (misuse of meds)
No restraint that blocks airflow or blood flow (potentially fatal)
No new construction of rooms to be primarily used for isolation.
No use of isolation as a planned intervention/aversive.

The best way to end isolation? Don't start.
