In 1946, the Seattle Steelheads took the field at Sick's Stadium, breaking barriers in the West Coast Negro League. They played for more than just a win—they played for our city, for representation, and for the future of the game.
Every Sunday home game, the Seattle Mariners honor that history by wearing the iconic Steelheads cream-and-black uniforms. We aren't just looking back; we’re building what’s next. Through the Steelheads Community Fund, the Mariners have committed $500,000 to support local youth baseball and softball programs, making sure the path is wide and the gates are open for the next generation of players.
