JoJo Hughes has made work exclusively focused on hands over the past year. Through her iterative process she has refined her subjects and created her own lexicon of characters, text, and symbols. The works on display are Can’t Wait, Field III, Field II, Field I, Journey to the East, and Next Flight. Come decipher this secret language until June 5th!

The Bitter Return by Natali Sweetmalson is a reflection on today’s political climate with the intention of impacting society as a whole. Sweetmalson’s Palestinian identity is strongly connected to her practice as she finds ways to express her experience as a mother living in the West. Her work sheds light on the voices and people of Palestine and their struggle for liberation and justice.
