Bale Breaker Brewing has acquired Cloudburst Brewing : Read the exclusive in-person interview with Cloudburst's Steve Luke, Bale Breaker's Kevin Quinn, Meghan Quinn and Kevin Smith on the "feel good acquisition" of the year.

Steve Luke is moving to New Zealand and was first to approach Bale Breaker about taking over. Initially they were like "uhhhhhh NO" says Bale Breaker's Kevin Quinn.

"Steve Luke is Cloudburst and Cloudburst is Steve Luke, if you take away that person it’s like what do you have? So we were like ‘if we take away all the things you dont like will you stay on and do the fun sh*t?’” says Bale Breaker brewmaster Kevin Smith.

“I have been tired for so long, something had to give and it has been my physical and mental health beyond everything else. And that is what it's like when you are a perfectionist that has trust issues. I would love to hand off this stuff to other people that I truly fu***ng trust," says Luke. “Getting my creative energy back is a big priority. I feel like it has waned over the last couple years. If anything now I will get more creative with names and recipes.”

But what is Steve going to do now besides zooming in his notes to the brewers while relaxing on a beach creating instagram memes?
