Jack Iron was the name of the small, resilient sailboat owned by Dave’s grandfather. Jack Iron was moored off the coast of Long Island in Gardiner's Bay, NY. The boat’s elegant design was popularized in the early 1900s by the American boat builder, Nathaniel Herreshoff. @ Shelter Island
