Tonight I sit in darkness as I celebrate and mourn the life and death of two significant QPOC trancestors - dear friends, chosen family who I have known for over 20 years. My heart is in anguish as I have lost both friends within one month apart from each other. 💔

Happy Anniversary to My Love! I can’t believe it’s been SIX whole years since I fell completely in love with this babe -and now THREE years of marriage. I am so honored to be sharing life with this wonderful being who reminds me of the power of love every single day. What finding the love of my life in middle age means to us is that we can not afford to take any second of togetheness for granted. I am a recovered-Christian and proud Atheist, but during times like this, I truly want to believe in the power of prayer. Today, I pray that I get at least 20 good years with this man, if not more.

Love is precious y’all. I just lost my dear friend Ponyboy to a 4 year battle with cancer. My heart goes out to their surviving partner, , my friend and former roommate, who I introduced to PB about 20 years ago. They got 15 years or so together. I wish it had been more. I’m so glad that I got to see them earlier this year when PB was feeling a bit more healthy. I love you Ponyboy, just like a brother.

Today I wished my 20 year old nephew a Happy Birthday… okay I may or may not have thought he was turning 21…. But I digress, I’m getting old. Lol. I told him to enjoy his youthful 20’s for as long as he can.

My message to everyone today is LOVE WHO YOU LOVE, AS HARD AS YOU CAN, FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN.
