We usually do one silly + one non-silly gift for Christmas, and choose one to open on the eve— this was my silly gift to Mike! With his obsession of MTG, Moo Deng, and pink+purple, I worked on this highly limited edition “card” of everyone’s fav pygmy hippo! 🦛 ❄️

Wow it’s been a loooong time since I last posted here! Honestly I’m not sure if anyone will even see this since it’s been ages, but whatever. Instead of posting pieces of plain artwork or WIPs, I feel more comfortable sharing already-made products with my work. I’m so grateful that projects have kept me incredibly busy, and am just bubbling with excitement at being able to finally start sharing some of those projects here now!

Around this time last year, I had the pleasure of working on several bookish illustrations for the Books Are Magic advent calendar by ! As a stationery nerd— the industry that really gave me my start as an illustrator— it was so fun to open the little pockets and see the goodies in this calendar! Of course… I couldn’t wait to open them day by day 🙈
