In a world with constant connectivity...where is the human connection? Looking around I think it was slyly replaced with content — which we create and ingest endlessly only to feel more isolated and lonely. In fact, many studies have found that more time spent on social media is associated with higher levels of loneliness

This isn't a bash on screens or technology. There is so much potential in what’s at our fingertips. I wondered, what if it could be used to strengthen relationships, to (re)build community, to really see each other again.

MyBeacon App was designed from the inside out to create immediate connection around everyday life events. New Year challenge: use that little screen in your hand to really connect with the humans you love - offer help or ask for support.

It's as simple as lighting a beacon.

Alternative name for the app? No. But definitely an inspiration behind MyBeacon App. And possibly a working title for my memoir.
