Atrium Kitchen at Pike Place Market
A feast of culinary offerings are now available at the Market Atrium Kitchen, in the heart of Pike Place Market. New events are added weekly.
I came to Pike Place Market in 2012 with a line of gourmet products and one jar of heirloom tomato jam.
I soon learned my first lesson about opening a business within the Pike Place Market historic district - my one farm product wasn’t enough to garner a spot in the Arcade.
A beautiful human, Terri Wheeler, introduced me to the Atrium Kitchen. Newly built out and managed by the market for chefs to rent and teach classes. So I started renting it. Market to table tours. A seafood pairing class. Everything built around whatever was available here that week.
I had no idea how spoiled I was about to become.
In October 2017 I opened the Atrium Kitchen as my cooking class and special event venue. It was also the home to my free community meal program, Nourished Neighborhood, that I started in February 2017.
9 years in, this is still the place.

Nourished Neighborhood is growing, and so is the need for connection around the table.
In June, Atrium Kitchen served 270 guests, a 30% increase from May, through this community meal program supporting seniors and neighbors facing food insecurity across Seattle.
Join Traci and the Atrium Kitchen team on July 2nd from 11:30am to 1pm for a meal at Pike Place Market featuring grilled bratwurst, orzo salad with feta, baked beans, strawberry spinach salad, strawberry shortcake, and sparkling lemonade.
Come enjoy a meal!

Part 2: halibut cheeks.
This is where I like to keep things simple and let the seafood do what it does best.
A little grilled peach, lemon, olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and a few bright, briny flavors to bring out how delicate and flaky halibut cheeks really are.
Small cut, big flavor.
