I was invited to sing with Khu.eex’ in 2018. It has been an inspirational experience traveling through spiritual realms with the amazing musicians in our band! It’s real music, with real instruments and real voices. No AI here! I close my eyes when they play, and I begin to sing. It feels like an out of body experience…They play from an ancestral place that conjures up the sounds from in me. Songs that seemed locked away are being released trough my vocal chords. I got a late start in making music. But it was the right time. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be composing and singing songs in my Haida language, and with such a unique and talented group of musicians that make up the Khu.éex’ Artist Collective. We hope you will follow our journey and will find a song that lifts you to another realm.
