Trump administration order cost WA coal plant $20M, company says 05/29/2026

ICYMI: We are fighting Trump's illegal order to force Washington's last coal plant to continue operating.

This order is a lose-lose for Washington families, our environment, and even the coal company, TransAlta, which has already spent $20 million just to keep the Centralia plant on standby for Donald Trump.

On May 20th, we held our first community listening session in Yakima. Community members gathered to learn where contaminated sites are, how the state cleans them up, and took action together.
