Without adding any space to the home, this kitchen and dining received a complete transformation that feels so much more functional! Flipping the kitchen and dining room created a natural space for better entertaining off the back deck, placed the kitchen in the center to act as the hub of the home, and allowed space for a large walk in pantry and coffee bar tucked in the back corner.

What’s the best career advice you’ve received?
-The best career advice I received was to communicate clearly, concisely, and with confidence. My dad phrased it as ‘Be bold, be brief, and be gone.’ I’m still a work in progress when it comes to brevity, but that idea has stayed with me throughout my career. I continue to work towards clarity in restraint, not volume.

What’s your favorite travel destination or dream trip?
-I would like to return to Portugal and explore more of the country. I spent time there as an exchange student years ago, but there were a lot of places I didn’t get to see.

What’s your comfort food?
-I’m a savory comfort-food person, so honestly I’d probably want a meal from my childhood: my dad’s fried okra, BBQ roasted pork, and potato or pea salad. But if his peach cobbler or velvet crumb cake happened to be available for dessert, I’d happily make room.
