We bring food and hope to our neighbors...because there can be enough for everyone.

Repost from Washington Health Outreach:

Alisha has been bringing her beloved dogs Brother and Sister to our clinics for the past year. We love seeing them, but you may be able to tell from the photo that the feeling is less than mutual for the pups.

With community support, these two spicy doggos are current on their vaccinations, microchipped, and able to access regular preventive care like a**l gland expressions and flea prevention. Their mama loves them so very much and is always so sweet to our team - it is a joy to care for their little family.

Thank you so much for supporting access to veterinary care! ❤️🩶🐾

As food, gas, and housing prices remain high, we’re looking to cut costs where we can. Including in the kitchen. We asked staff members to share their favorite meals that utilize cheap staples and we’ll be sharing them throughout the summer!

Jade, Communications Specialist, says all she needs for a hearty meal is a veggie-forward chickpea sandwich. This recipe was iterated from the @‌SoVegan recipe you can find here: https://wearesovegan.com/chickpea-masala-sandwich

You can often find the bread, chickpeas, tomatoes, spinach/lettuce, jalapeno, cucumber, and red onions in our market at Ballard Food Bank. Try your hand at this filling and tangy sandwich and let us know if you liked it!
