I’ve learned that mental health is not always about self-care, self-care is NOT self-love. Believing that will change your whole mindset. You can workout, eat healthy, get a mani-pedi & take care of yourself physically & mentally all you want.

But self-love is showing yourself kindness, doing your shadow work, setting boundaries, walking away from what’s toxic & holding you back even when you don’t necessarily want to; but you have to in order to change.

Mental health takeaways from 2021
✨ Be with people who want more for you not more from you.
✨ Healing also means taking an honest look at the role you played in your suffering.
✨ You’re not always going to be motivated, so you need to be disciplined.
✨ Every wall you build to insulate yourself from pain will inevitably isolate you from blessing. There’s healing work that god wants to do.
