Trauma Touch Seattle

On June 9th I made the leap of leaving my hometown and entire support system in Florida and headed out west to Seattle to feel safety I haven't felt since all the violent anti-trans rhetoric started on this country. Florida has been one of the worst states for trans folks and I can't begin to explain how hard life has been to navigate as a trans person and as someone working in an emotionally and physically demanding career. I'm grateful for all my clients and friends who've shown me continued love and support but I just knew there was more life out there for me that I wasn't living because my fight or flight response was constantly activated.

I've had some bumps along the way but they landed me in Colorado for 5 weeks where I was able to rest and rejuvenate before starting my next chapter. Thank you to everyone in Colorado who provided support during my time there! I've officially made it to Seattle and my head and my heart already feel so much clearer. I can't wait to see what I'm able to accomplish in this city!

Thank you to all my clients who've supported my growth as a massage therapist. My average client has been with me for 6 out of my 7 years and a few of them have been with me since day one. When I sit and reflect on my career in Tallahassee, I am overwhelmed by the amount of love I’ve been shown and continue to receive across the country. I am forever grateful to every person who has made an impact on my life there, and I look forward to the time when I can come back and visit.
