REMEMBERING STUART PRADO
Stu passed away recently. He had moved to the East Coast to be with his father in his dad's ailing years. Stu, a professional gardener and landscaper, will be remembered at Picardo as an avid gardener and contributor to many Picardo projects. Photos below show him at work in his garden, enjoying potluck dinners, operating the trench digging machine for the 3/4 mile of new water system pipes in 2012, delivering a pickup load of gravel for the foundation of the Kids Barn, testing the turn-around area of the SW corner of the garden, presenting a platter of edible flowers to a luncheon group from the American Community Gardeners Association convention, leading a crew in the building of the picnic garden, installing the bench along with Julia Wharton in remembrance of Jack Rucker, and his artistic talents with the Picardo logo.
