Dowbuilt

Today we honor Robert A.M. Stern, whose legacy runs deep within our architectural community. Many of our architect partners and teammates at Dowbuilt trace their formative inspiration to his mentorship—whether through his eponymous firm, RAMSA, or during his influential years as Dean of the Yale School of Architecture.

As Stern once said, “The dialogue between client and architect is about as intimate as any conversation you can have, because when you're talking about building a house, you're talking about dreams.”

Stern’s ideas have shaped generations of architects and, in turn, the builders who bring their ideas to life. May the care he brought to the craft continue to guide all who build, teach, and imagine.
